Classes for young people aged 8 to 18

We offer weekly classes in drama, acting, speech and musical theatre for groups, individual and pairs of young students after school and on Saturday mornings.

In Theatrix classes you learn:

  • acting techniques

  • speech, voice and singing skills

  • movement, mime and dance

  • characterisation and role play

  • improvisation of scenes plays and stories

  • scriptwriting and production

  • to use scripts by famous playwrights

  • to speak poetry and prose by famous writers

  • mask, puppetry and stage lighting skills

  • creative teamwork games and skills

  • to evaluate each other's drama work

Write to Act syllabus

We have developed and piloted our own playwriting and performance examination syllabus with great success. It is suitable for use in primary and secondary schools as part of the Drama and English curriculum.
