Most Theatrix students take Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Corporation of London) examinations. These exams take place three times a year at the Abbey Theatre and lead to nationally recognised qualifications. You can also take examinations set by other recognised examinations boards as appropriate, for example London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
Typically a student will start at Grade 1 at age 8, and may progress to Grade 8 by age 16 to 18. A Guildhall Grade 8 pass is of an equivalent academic standard to an 'A' level. Younger students may take Preliminary examinations.
You can take exams inTheatrix is a success because its students succeed. They certainly succeed in their speech and drama exams.
